Nahant Kiteboarding was created in 2015 out of pure love for the sport.

 

Kiteboarding is an exhilerating sport that has many differents styles to suite all kinds of riders.

 

As a kiteboarder you can choose to cruise the coast, blast across flat water, work on acrobatic tricks, ride the waves, or learn to jump 20' to 50' ft into the air!

 

Many riders choose to do all of the above making kiteboarding a sport that can provide a lifetime of excitement.

 

Here are a few of the most common questions asked about kiteboarding.

 

1) How strong do you have to be to kiteboard?

Kiteboarders come in all varieties of fitness.

Kiteboarding is a balancing sport that does not require extraordinary physical strength.  Kiteboarders are suspended from a harness.  The kite pulls upward on the harness reducing strain on the legs.  The arms need only gently steer the kite with the control bar.

 

2) At what age can I learn kiteboarding?

Kiteboarders range in ages 8 to 80.

However, for purposes of training, Nahant Kiteboarding prefers students to be at least 18 years of age.

 

3) How dangerous is kiteboarding?

Kiteboarding is a sport with some inherent risks. However, those risks can be managed with proper education, equipment, and responsible participation.
